Salih : Part 1

After the destruction of the Ad', tribe,
When the prophetic ways' did subside,
From among them,
The Thamud people,
Did up-rise
In power and might.

They fell into idolatry,
As their wealth increased,
So did their evil ways',
The corruption of their wordily treasure,
Took most of their days'.

Their virtue of righteousness,
Did decrease,
As they forgot their prophetic-lines',
Again; as before, at the time of Ad',
They started to build up shrines',
Of huge buildings',
Of what became their crime.

(They stood over the hills',
Towering above the landscape,
Giants' in size,
They carved their homes' from the mountain-sides',
Of what their homes' still reside ).

Tyranny and oppression,
Did run their land,
As unholy men,
Took over God's stand.

So Allah sent unto them,
Another; righteous men,
A holy prophet,
To take a stand.

The prophet Salih,
Did arise,
From among them,
And their unholy shrines',
He was from that of Noah's line.

He began his call,
Unto the unholy people,
Of the land,
To take up,
The worship of One God for All.

While some of the people believed him,
The majority,
Became deaf stricken,
Resistance, because they wished,
To be of the wordily shrines',
Treasure was their way,
So they became absentees',
Of that day,
Of worshipers' of God's Holy path,
They restrained,
From Salih's call,
To worship One God, for All.

And because of the Arrogance stand,
Most of them,
Started a harmful,
Proceedings',
In both their word's,
And evil deeds',
They took up a strike,
To fight against him.

" O' my people ",
He did say,
" Worship Allah,
You have no other God but him ".

Salih, being sound of mind,
Was well known for his wisdom,
Purity and goodness,
And before the,
Holy Revelation came unto him,
The people,
Knew him to be,
Of good capacity.

The people came unto him,
Proclaiming their findings',
" O Salih' ",
They did say,
You have been among us,
As a figure of Good-hope,
( And we wished for you to be our chief,
In matters' of our wordily deeds').
Until, this new thing that you have brought,
That we leave our ways',
Of many Gods',
And to worship your God,
Allah alone.

Do you ( Salih ),
Wish for us to leave,
What our forefathers',
Betook ?,
We are in doubt of what you bring,
( Monotheism, was ' Salih's call ).
Away from the shrines'
Of their forefathers' crimes'.

To be continued.
