I had better say something sweet,
About the Algerian meat,
If I leave them out,
I know they will surly shout.
Even though, I went through a storm,
The people, markets', weddings',
Customs', culture, were all one.
And though I did slander; Algeria
Of that I admit,
I wish I had the Patience to hold it in,
But when it came down to it,
It was just my weak skin.
So, though I did rumor,
I meant no harm,
I was tested and teased,
But when it came down to it,
I was drawn to my knees'.
